They are artificial teeth made to replace lost teeth for many reasons. Lost teeth are of great importance in terms of aesthetics as well as general health of the person.
The types of prostheses to be applied vary according to the condition of the patient’s mouth and teeth.
Prosthesis Types
Fixed Dentures: Crown, bridge-like adhesive prostheses
Removable Dentures: Example: Total or partial dentures. Removable prostheses are still successfully applied in individuals whose bone structure is not suitable for implantation despite the developing implant technology.
On-implant dentures: Fixed or removable dentures
Fixed Dentures
Single Crowns: Those made by coating a single tooth
Bridges: Those covered with teeth next to missing teeth
Implant Prosthesis: Screws and prostheses placed in the jaw.
Total Prostheses: Applied to mouths with no teeth.
Partial dentures: Applied to partially edentulous mouths.
Precision attachment prostheses: They are metal-supported prostheses without a hook, which are also applied to partially toothless mouths.
Implant Prosthetics
Fixed Prosthetics: Porcelain crowns applied to one or more teeth
Removable Dentures: Prostheses applied to completely toothless mouths
